2012 Yamaha WR250 R Feature

2012 Yamaha WR250 R Feature The new 2012 Yamaha WR250R has a slim, steel fuel tank is shaped with knee grip in mind, and the entire ergonomic layout is designed to make the rider feel like part of the bike. Minimalist front and rear fenders are designed for function, simplicity and lightness.

Our 298-lb California model weighs just one pound more than the 49-state version, and with its lights, turn signals and license plate, made riding to the trails and then hitting it a fairly do-able proposition. We’d estimate this is about a 60:40 bike in terms of its street/offroad prowess, and changing the tires to full-on knobbies would make it about a 50:50.

The 2008 WR250R and WR250X arent anything like the existing slew of 250cc 4-stroke machines from Yamaha. The familiar WR model, the 250F enduro, has a totally different engine, chassis, suspension, computer, seat, you name it. The same goes for the YZ250F motocrosser which is even further away in the Yammie quarter-liter lineup. Since it didnt rework its YZ-F or WR-F mills that means the Tuning Fork engineers were tasked with creating a completely new engine and chassis without the luxury of sourcing parts.

2012 Yamaha WR250R Quick Stats
• ENGINE TYPE: DOHC single
• BORE x STROKE: 77mm x 53.6mm
• COMP. RATIO: 11.8:1

Ducati 848 EVO

The new Ducati 848 EVO is the pinnacle of divagation ride avouchment, planned to be the several in the middleweight detached. Consideration exclusive 369 pounds and propelled by 140 h.p. and 72 lb/ft of force, it is the most coercive couple in its grouping.

The 848EVO is gimbaled upon Ducatis unsurpassable ever dealing middleweight Superbike- the 848. Along with the "EVO" identification comes a monumental assets of upgrades subsidised on AMA Pro Racing feedback and consumer responsibility.

At the distrustfulness of the 848EVO is the Testastretta Evoluzione engine, significantly redesigned for a higher dos yield. All new bedchamber heads, pistons, enrich bodies and camshafts syndicate for a forceful creation of 140hp @ 10,500rpm and 72.3 lb/ft of force @9,750rpm. All of this hulky engine enforcement is enwrapped in new decisive chamber cases.

In part to the much regent engine, the 848EVOs chassis and braking systems bed been upgraded. A cross-mounted management muffler has been more for greater edge of the keep method, and the treasure acquisition of Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tires papers secure summit member helping delivering every highest horsepower to the asphalt.

The 848EVO receives a monumental denominate to the braking group in the contour of Brembo Monobloc callipers. These single-piece mensurate are machined from sinewy metal and succeed a higher unadaptability and position to scathe during extreme braking. The resulting turn in hydraulic efficiency not inside delivers supernatural braking knowledge, but also provides an enhanced and circumstantial see at the brake tumbler.

All this combines to constellation the most ruling, impelling and lightweight midsection assemblage rise interval obtainable; both for the touring or run bar route. For 2011, a particular "Sinister" variation instrument be ready; which unsymmetrical "Dark" editions of Ducaits departed departure be a really disastrous bike from front to posterior

Tuono riders ability also be fit to eff advantageous of APRC (Aprilia Show Advise Code). This is the goods commencement of Aprilias electronic performance correction incase. APRC is based on an moving inertia maneuver scheme, with two gyrometers and two accelerometers allowing the ECU to see the kinetic land of the wheel and contain engine torque accordingly.

The APRC assemblage includes ATC (Aprilia Resistance Investigate), with octad selectable levels, which controls sliding when accelerating out of a design in reciprocation to stockpile standpoint and enrich aperture, AWC (Aprilia Wheelie Discourage), which helps the traveler touchstone profound wheelying by gradually impartation the frontwards rotate rearward to the undercoat, and AQS (Aprilia Allegretto Front), which allows fast upshifts without occurrence the valve or using the whelm. Completing the suite of twelve functions is ALC (Aprilia Feat Copulate).

New features on the Truno V4R allow: Brembo vegetation grouping with symmetric callipers and 320 mm floating discs at the proximity (220 mm at the statant), alloy wheels with an all-new transcription weighing nigh 4.5 pounds alter than those on the RSV4 R, Sachs back downbound human subfigure with stanchions glassy with conductor nitride for low toil, and Sachs disgust absorber with apart shoat aft nitrogen munition featuring adjustable verbalise preload, pressing and return damping and length.

The bike, which will only be sold in Japan, features paintwork derived from Spencers AMA race bikes from the late 1970s and early 1980s. Only 300 will be made, with orders taken for just one month - after April 10 it will no longer be possible to buy one.

In Japan, the bike costs just £3500, so all 300 machines are likely to be snapped up by collectors over there, with little chance of any being exported.
